I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
